"Lullaby" premiere with the MN Sinfonia

Had a wonderful weekend in Minneapolis where the MN Sinfonia premiered my “Lullaby” for chamber orchestra in their Friday, Saturday and Sunday concerts.  Wonderful performances, made even more meaningful with it taking place in my hometown with friends in attendance!  A special shout-out to MN Sinfonia conductor Jay Fishman and the whole ensemble for their terrific interpretation, and to the McKnight Foundation for ongoing support of new music through their grants. 

Referring to my piece, Jay was quoted in the local Red Wing press:   “It’s an amazing piece of music…one of the most beautiful pieces we’ve commissioned in the past nine years.”
